THE SHOW

the_show20 unknown bands face the legends of music. Who will rise? Who will fall? A new take on the reality of making a rock band as told by the bands themselves. This... is The Chronicles Of Rock.

TCOR is simply an underdog rock reality show project from front to back. Supporting independent bands, sponsors and creators through independent ways of production. Nothing Hollywood but with all the bells and whistles a Hollywood project has to offer. A show with network polish and reality formulas while at the same time stained with raw, artistic and undomesticated style. TCOR will show those who rise to power rather than showing someone already there. This is a television project for those local and indie bands fighting to become noticed in a music world of too many one-hit wonders and overnight flops. The Chronicles Of Rock will give them chances most won't because of status, money vs talent or majority rule. Many rise to the occasion due to knowing the right person while others fight with blood, sweat and tears to get there. This is the philosophy, (trans)mission statement if you will, of The Chronicles Of Rock.

All TCOR bands are ROCK. Whether metal, alternative, progressive, death, grunge or punk...they are all ROCK. They will live ROCK and they will die ROCK.

Season One plans to highlight Northwest-based bands with plans for The Chronicles Of Rock: Westcoast, The Chronicles Of Rock: Eastcoast and even The Chronicles Of Rap and so on to develop in the future.

What will make The Chronicles Of Rock stand out above and beyond any other reality show is just that...it's reality. There will be no glamorous sets or houses with 10 beds to a room. There will be no "fake" acting, propaganda for ratings or anyone "changing face" for the camera. There is no dating, cooking or bachelorette-basis of elimination. This show will be exactly what people really want to see in a reality show...the truth.

Those judging each performance and episode will be three music and/or music-related icons that are true legends in the industry. Judges such as The Enigma (Jim Rose Circus Sideshow, X-Files), Maria Brink (Vocalist, In This Moment) and Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed, former host of MTV's Headbanger's Ball). Other guest judges committed to Season One include Geoff Tate (Queensryche), Dave Ellefson (Megadeth), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Whitesnake, Ozzy), Zakk Wylde, Kerry King (Slayer), Metal Sanaz, Ice T, Gene Hoglan (Deathklok, Testament) and the list goes on. As a group the judges will select one (1) winner each episode and that winner will move on to the next episode to face two (2) new bands. Each episode winner chosen based on originality, overall sound and performance/stage presence (and the unannounced surprises). What we see from each band on any given show can also make or break their chances at winning and moving on to the next round of The Chronicles Of Rock.

And so the drama begins.

What could be better reality television than drama between broke, starving and uninhibited bands and their members?
